Wysoka dostępność i elastyczność
Przełączniki serii DXS-3400 wyposażone są w modularny wentylator i zasilacz o wysokiej dostępności. Konstrukcja typu "hot-swappable" oznacza, że wentylatory i zasilacze można wymienić bez wpływu na pracę przełączników. Fizyczne i wirtualne układy sterujące umożliwiają zarządzanie przełącznikami z jednego adresu IP i zapewnienie nadmiarowości dla podłączonych urządzeń.

Urządzenia obsługują szeroki zakres funkcji warstwy 2 i 3, takich jak sieci VLAN, routing między sieciami VLAN, multiemisja, Quality of Service (QoS), Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP), RIP (Routing Information Protocol) v1 / 2, RIP następnej generacji (RIPng), Routing zasad (PBR) oraz funkcje zabezpieczeń. Seria DXS-3400 zawiera także łatwy w obsłudze interfejs WWW i standardowy przemysłowy interfejs CLI, co poprawia zarządzanie.
Bezstratny Ethernet
Centrum wiązania danych (DCB) jest niezbędnym zestawem ulepszeń sieci Ethernet w przypadku tworzenia sieci w środowiskach agregacji danych. Przełączniki serii DXS-3400 obsługują kilka podstawowych elementów interfejsu DCB (Data Center Bridging), takich jak IEEE 802.1Qbb, IEEE 802.1Qaz i IEEE 802.1Qau.
